PRESS RELEASE
New 300A Lightweight
Industrial MIG Welder
offers Durability and Speed
Salisbury,
MD. ARCON Welding LLC, a manufacturer of welding
machines, in response to requests from the market place, is introducing
The Workhorse Migweld 300MS, a multi-process MIG/Stick inverter
welder. The MIG feature is an important benefit in industrial applications
where automatic feed is a great time saver. The new Migweld 300MS operates
on 240V, single or three phase, and 480V three-phase at 60Hz, with an
International version for 400V/50Hz, three-phase. Also available is the
dual voltage version for 240V/480V, single or three-phase. The rated welding
current is from 30-300A @ 60% duty cycle with maximum current of 400A
@ 30% duty cycle. One of the important benefits of using the inverter
type power supply technology is the significant weight reduction. The
Migweld 300MS weighs approximately 80 lb. (36.3 Kgs), has a highly impact
resistant fiberglass case and, combined with its overall rugged construction,
can withstand a great deal of rough handling. All members of The
Workhorse family of inverter type welders offer the following
new and unique features, not available on other brands:
Short Arc,
Spray Arc . The Migweld 300 MS can be used for MIG
short arc with puddle control and spray transfer, Stick and carbon arc
gouging.
Constant (Arc)
Power (CP) for More Reliable Stick Welding. With this
unique feature, there is less dependency on the operator's ability to
hold the tip of the electrode at a constant distance from the base metal.
In other words, the CP feature compensates for an unsteady hand. With
this feature, the Migweld 300MS is easier to master than conventional
Constant Current (CC) machines and enables the average welder to become
more skilled. Its user-friendly CP feature will help him or her complete
the job in less time without sacrificing workmanship quality.
Arc Force Control
(AFC) for
Stick welding allows the operator to adjust the current surge when a droplet
shorts the arc. AFC drastically reduces slag inclusions.
Input Voltage
Compensation (IVC) will provide steady output voltage
when the input voltage fluctuates during, for example, periods of heavy
power usage at local utilities, or from generators.
Voltage Spike
Protection. (VSP) The Migweld 300 MS has a built-in
VSP to handle surges up to 40,000 Amps. Such Input voltage spikes are
caused by surges from either generators or utility power lines.
Rugged, Very
Reliable Power Supply Design
Unlike other brands of inverter-type welding machines sold
today, ARCON's family of welding machines use time-proven SCR components
similar to the first inverter-type welder designed in 1976. Field data
statistics have proven this SCR design to be 100-times more durable in
welding applications than the alternative IGBT semiconductor design used
in competing brands. The MIGweld 300MS incorporates additional features
that make it a rugged and extremely reliable tool that welders can depend
on for many years of trouble-free service.
