ARCON incorporates protection against corrosion in all models of their portable arc welding and stud welding power supplies. The protection is specifically designed to protect the internal components of the machine when operating in corrosive and hazardous atmospheres. Corrosive and conductive atmospheres have harmful effects on a welder, and can cause premature failure.

This protection against corrosion is accomplished using an extensive and permanent process that is based on research experiments, experience and endurance, using as many as 1200 SCR-type inverter welders placed on Norwegian oil rigs in the North Sea. Arcon’s protection is built-in as the machine is being manufactured – not sprayed on after the machine is assembled. All welding power supplies are shipped with a 5-Year guarantee against corrosion related failures if used in natural (non-chemical) atmospheres.
